Greetings!

Let me introduce myself:  I am Dr. Kima Stewart and it is both an honor and a pleasure to be the Elementary Principal for Buffalo Island Central Schools. Monette is my home; I was a 1982 graduate of Monette High School. Arkansas State University then became my academic heritage as I hold BSE, MSE, and EdD degrees from this institution. I have more than thirty years experience in public school education with experience at all grade levels in the areas of instruction, administration, gifted education, curriculum, athletics, transportation, federal programs, and literally all other connected areas!  I am also an adjunct professor for ASU's online MSE degree program for Educational Leadership.   My husband, Clay, is involved in agriculture, specifically watermelon and cotton production.  Our daughter, Dr. Savanah Stewart Kingston, DDS, is a BIC alumni (Class of 2008) and is in practice at Weaver Orthodontics in Jonesboro.  We have two family pets, our recused Shitzu and our teacup Yorkie "grand-dog."  My favorite hobby is reading and I enjoy the activities of the Monette First Baptist Church.  As a family, we love to travel and to spend time on beautiful Lake Norfork in Mountain Home.  I am excited to come to school every day;  watching students grow and learn give me great joy!
